HELP!!!! DInc just went berzerk on me....

OK, I have had this Incredible since launch...preordered. Recently I had upstreammiami root it for me. Everything has been working great...until today.

It locked up after a missed phone call. So I yanked the battery and put it back in and the phone is now all messed up. All my contacts are gone, my browser bookmarks all gone, most of my apps will not run, everything wants to force close and the app market reverted back to the old style.

Yet stuff I have stored in memory (phone memory) is still there. Several of my apps did disappear.

What happened??

Titanium backup will not run...keeps force closing...

When you Rooted your phone and you where about to flash your rom did you make a nandroid backup in recovery a while ago or make a fresher one that was the rom that's on your phone now Cuz you should wipe everything and then flash the nandroid or the rom you where using and you should be back up and running

I never flashed a rom, just rooted and left all alone. Did do the ti back up, but now it wont run, force closes.

Sounds like you'll have to do a master reset. Can you backup your contacts and stuff to a pc?

Contacts are fine using Back Up assistant... if a hard reset is what I need, then I will... What will that do to my root?

I was asking you about your backup because if you never flashed a rom you would be perfect position because if when you rooted your phone now you have a custom recovery so you should have done a nand backup it says backup or restore and that saves your but in situation's like this it restores your phone to where you last saved like saving a game but you'll need to wipe everything data, cache, dalvki and you should be good not sure though Cuz I never wipe and not flash a ron after but if it doesn't start up then you should download a stock rom that includes root in it and flash that in the recovery then you definitely should be good but by wiping your phone it will not take your root away it just wont start up so you'll just have to load a stock rom on your phone hope that gets your phone clean and sorted out just use the titanium backup to get app wise back and or taken off and use that app for you to get contacts back if you need any help I will be here to help ok

Well, with the terrific help from Upstreammiami, I have flashed a new rom and got my phone back on track.
