To start with you need the factory charger and factory cable.

Well, that's a load of crap. I have never used the factory cable, I use my Galaxy Nexus charger for my maxx and my nexus 7. Not sure where you heard this from.

To the OP leave it plugged in, it will take a while to turn on you won't be able to turn it on until it gets some charge.

So if its not the charger then my phone is basically never going to turn on??

I suggest you go to a corporate store and have them check it out. It has a one year warranty. And it possibly is defective

Also, try holding the power button and volume down for 15- 30 seconds it will force a reboot. Maybe something is just hung up.

Because if you call Verizon Tech support or Motorola, they're going to tell you the same thing. You must use factory cable and charger. They probably know what they're talking about just a little bit more. :)

S1 or S2? I'm coming from an S1 but I gotta wait a month and it's FREAKIN' KILLIN' ME!! lol.......on a side note has anyone seen the crackberry forum lately lol. It's nothing but Droid posts hahaha.

I hope that's sarcasm

Edit: What the hell? That's not the post I quoted

To my knowledge only tablets must be used with the chargers they came with or a 3rd party charger that is for a tablet. As for phones, any cable and charger should work as long as it was from a previous smart phone or made for smart phones. Some old old micro USB from the later non smart phones do not put out enough to charge the phone.

Try plugging the phone into the computer with a different USB cable. See if it will turn on or recognize your phone. How long do you keep the phone plugged in?

If you call Verizon or Motorola, they're going to tell you to use the OEM charger so they can sell it to you and make money. There's no need to use the OEM charger, just make sure it has the same specs, charging capacity, etc... Don't use those cheap $4.95 eBay chargers.

Regardless what "you know they are gonna say" a non OEM charger will work to charge his phone unless the charger went out completely... Try more than one charger if you haven't yet.

I've used non OEM chargers for years without any issues whatsoever. I still use a blackberry charger for my DROID phone everyday. GASP!! Sounds like either a specific charger/ cable or phone issue. Take it in and find out for sure or try a different charger and leave it plugged in for a while

Thanks to everyone for your help, i fixed the problem went threw like 4 different chargers and found one that worked.!
