I have no idea how it happened, but my external SD card was WIPED OUT. Last night I took some pics and video. Today I went to pull them up, and when I opened Gallery>Camera the pictures from yesterday appeared as question marks. When I refreshed, the entire "Camera" folder within the Gallery was GONE. I tried to browse using Astro, but nothing was there. Rebooted, removed battery, removed card... nothing. Plugged the MicroSD card into my PC, it read there is NOTHING on the disk.

What could have happened? Can I recover the pics, etc on that card? Unrooted Galaxy Note2 8 months old, no such prior problems, using Lookout for security. 32G microSD card by Patriot.

Get a Sandisk SD card for an immediate replacement and search for File Recovery apps. If your computer can read the card (ie:FAT) there may be a good chance of recovering the files. As to the cause, good luck.
