Help, facebook messenger chat heads.

Hi, I just purchased a Note 8 and I was playing with some options and noticed that I did not have chat heads for facebook messenger. There is actually no option to turn on or disable. I have done several google searches and found some people with the same problem but no solution at all.

Any Ideas? I know in the google searches that people could log into a different account and the option for chat heads would appear, but if they logged back into their main account the option would go away again. Not sure if that helps for finding a solution but I'd be interested in any ideas.

uninstall the version you have and install it from playstore.
it should be there in the settings menu.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the play store and same issue, if i log in with my account the option to turn on chat heads isn't there, but if my friend logs in with their account, the option to enable is there and they work right away.

I appreciate the quick response, do you happen to have any other ideas?

I have Sprint and I just checked my Facebook messenger settings and it's there.

Missing for me as well, but I think immuskng a beta version of FB Messenger so that may have something to do with it.

I appreciate all the responses, that setting that you linked, is missing when I log into my main account its not greyed out or anything, its completely gone, but if I log into a different facebook account then the toggle shows up and works.

Thanks again for all the replies, if anyone has any thought on maybe how to fix this then I'm open to try anything, but currently deleting the messenger app and downloading from the play store did not fix it.

Same thing happened to me, after i switched back from iOS to Android. I can't find the chat head option in the settings menu, but if my friend log in with his account it works...I suppose it is a bug because iOS does not have chat head option..

On the top right corner, where your profile picture is, press that and the settings will pop up, including the option to disable chat heads.

On message in facebook, tap on your photo icon on very top right side .Your info will appear. Scroll down to Chat Heads and turn on.
