Help - I'm desperate. I've been having trouble with my Motorola E6 phone. Via the Motorola UK website I have performed what looks like a kind of factory reset. I have lost all my apps and settings and I urgently need to restore my last backup. Problem is that using my existing Moto phone I can't do it.

1. When I try to log into my Google account it sends me a verification code which I cannot access because the basic message app now doesn't show incoming messages. I am being asked all the time to enter Google details for everything including Google one in an attempt to do a restore of my last backup.

2. So, Is there any way to log into my google account from a tablet I have and get Google 1 to restore backup to my Android phone.

3. When I try to log into Play Store to see if I can restore all my apps I get same problem as above, ie 2 step verifications

4. Is it possible to restore previously downloaded apps from Playstore ??

Please help with any advice as to how I can set up this reset Android phone, especially how I can view the verification code which, without it, seems that I cannot access Google account/Play Store

Thanks

Yes, it's the same SIM card. However, as I wrote above, I have managed to authenticate my Google account via a different device (my tablet).
My problem now is that my Windows file explorer does not fully recognise my phone when attached by data cable. It shows the phone in the Explorer list but doesn't show the folders or SD card that I know are on my phone. If I used a file manager app on my phone any folders show up so I know they are there......moto E6.jpg

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding.:)

When you connect the phone to the PC, are you making sure to unlock the screen? The PC can't "see" the phone's storage unless the phone is unlocked.
