Im in need of some help. I have a Lg Optimus s with the LS670VD software that is rooted. I have tried flashing the CWM0.5 recovery, Xionia CWMA v1.2518.6 recovery and the recovery-RA-GNM-thunderc-s-1.1.0 recovery, but every time when i boot into recovery mode i get a blank screen. If anyone could help thanx.

Xionia CWMA 1.2518.5 will give you a blank screen.

Xionia CWMA 1.2518.4 and 1.2518.6 do not have the blank screen issue.

All current thunderc recoveries will give you a blank screen.

Go back and flash 1.2518.6 again. You probably thought you flashed it at one point, but it, for some reason, didn't get flashed.

Ok I did the same thing, I rooted my phone with gingerbreak v 1.2 and worked fine even after ota update, then I downloaded a flash image and rom and put it on the root of my sd card, tried making it go into recovery and thats where I got stuck, need help plz,

Tried using kp500 to flash phone back to ls670zv9 and now my phone is stuck on a black screen when I turn it on, cant do anything with it, but the 4 buttons at the bottom of the phone are still lit up

Yeah: there's a big red warning on the KP500 thread for exactly that reason. ;)

The new versions of our phone have an upgraded LCD screen. The drivers aren't present until VC. Luckily as you've already noted the phone is still responsive. Look for screen cast so you can see your screen through your computer than you can go through and update back to vc or vd... On a separate note do you mind if I ask why you were flashing back to v9? (just curious is all).

same problem here... I was trying to get stock v9. I followed all the instructions and now my phone won't even boot into android, just a black screen.:'( i guess i'm just that lucky

Stock v9 will not work on your phone as it has the new LCD screen. Your phone is booting properly, you just cannot see anything without the proper drivers present. Try letting the phone fully boot, plug in USB to a computer and run screencast. This should allow you to see the screen on the pc. From there you can upgrade to zvd or zvh which will work for your phone.

:)Hmm, i just tried again to boot and it worked... i pressed vol down, search, power. Dont know if that has anything to do with it, but it worked :)

Thanks for your advice hlxanthus, I did the screencast and i returned to stock. Many thanks from an android user who thought his phone was bricked.

It is always helpful to outline what you did to fix your problems and what threads were helpfull. Glad what I offered was of some help !! Good luck in the future.
