HELP: Lifetime Windows Moving to Android/SamsungGS8

I've finally given up. I've had Microsoft in my pocket since the Pocket PC days when they didn't have phones and competed with Palm Pilots. The mismanagement struggles are real and I'm finally bailing. While waiting on my GS8 to arrive, I'm wondering about some apps. I assume that there will be more like me, crossing platforms so this should prove useful for more than just me.

Here are the things I'm looking for:

* Cloud Storage
I was all-in with OneDrive connected to Office 365. With that combination, I had 1TB of storage for documents, photos and video. What are Android people using? I was considering Google Drive for documents and Amazon Prime unlimited photo backup, assuming it will autobackup from my phone.

* Document Scanning
Microsoft's Office Lens was handling this for me. I've heard that the Android version is a bit behind, lacking the ability to create multiple page documents. Are there better solutions??

* Music
Yep...I've been using (and loving) Groove, but I want to consider other options. I was looking at Amazon Prime Unlimited, especially since I have an Echo Dot. Good idea? Bad idea?

* Camera app
I use ProShot on Windows. They have an Android app, too. Any other recommendations or do most people just use the stock app?

* Video camera app
Just like photo, I'm wondering if people use 3rd party apps for video

Photo Editing
* I think I'm going to use Adobe's Lightroom, Fix and Merge. I'm also going to use PicsArt and Fhotoroom like I do on Windows.

Video Editing
* Recommendations please for quick video editing on the device.

Navigation
* Of the Google owned options, I only had Waze as an option on Windows. I'm wondering about Google Maps vs. Waze on Android.

Weather
* So many weather apps...which to choose?

Texting on Computer
* I used Skype to connect to my phone to SMS. How is this done on Android? I saw something called Side Sync, so maybe that's a lead.

That should get me started and productive from the start and I'd be most appreciative of any help y'all can give me!

Google's Play Store will be where you'll be getting your apps from. You can use the 'Play Store' app on your S8, or when you're on a computer somewhere just go to https://forums.androidcentral.com/e.../https://play.google.com/store&token=hQ1Kzui8 and log into your Google account where you'll be able to have remote access to app management on your phone.
A lot of the items you listed have direct equivalents, like OneDrive and Skype. Plus the default apps that will be on your S8 out of the box might suit your needs but there's almost always third-party options that might be more to your liking.
Regarding Google Maps or Waze, there's no drawback in having both apps on your phone and just use the one that suits whatever situation. Waze is still primarily focused on traffic issues, Google Maps on more general location. Plus there's Here Maps/Here WeGo, the once Nokia based service that still has a pretty loyal fan-base.
Currently I like WeatherBug but use the default S8 weather app and see how you like it.
Take a look at the Google Photos app. It has some basic photo editing capabilities, and it's a decent photo library manager on its own, but as far as I'm concerned its most stellar feature is it has a back up and sync option, buried in its Settings menu. Once enabled it automatically backs up and synchronizes your phone's photo library with your online Google account. And you can access your photo library when your phone isn't handy by using a computer and going to https://photos.google.com

Yeah, but I think I'm over Microsoft, so I'm hoping for other options. I do think I'll use Amazon Prime Music Unlimited. I'll probably use the free Office apps, but no more Office 365 subscription.

Google Play Music All Access - because it should also include YouTube Red. No need to skip ads on YouTube because you won't see ads at all.
