I received a gift card! I need help spending it! Would you get a rechargeable battery for your phone, Nexus 7, etc... (something like this) Amazon.com: Anker? I can count on one hand the number of times I've wished that I had some kind of portable recharging solution.

Would you use the GC on the battery or save it for some other toys, er, I mean important stuff!

I was thinking of just getting a movie (Dark Knight Trilogy - Blueray) and then use the remainder to get Google Play credit.

I think it really depends how often you're not able to get to a power outlet. I bought a similar device on sale thinking I would keep it in my laptop bag, but then realized I can usually plug the phone (or tablet) into the AC power if I'm at work. I don't regret getting a power pack, however, because it may come in useful for travel or if a hurricane blows through... and it cost less than $20 shipped.
