i got a new s3 last week and i downloaded a bunch of apps and put my music on the phone. it's 16 gb and now it says i only have 7gb of space. I bought a microsd card thinking that I can use it for storage but I'm not sure if i can. Anyways, before i downloaded a whole bunch of apps, there was this one game that all my friends play and it never lagged. Since i downloaded many apps and put my music, the game started lagging like **** so i turned on "disable hardware overlays". It helped but another problem came up, my youtube video lags while the audio plays. Is there any way to fix this lag or perhaps move all my music and apps to my micro sd card so I can clean out my phone memory? plz help thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

I would undo your disable hardware overlays change and do this instead. Go into Settings>Application Manager> swipe over to all apps, and go through the bloatware and disable anything you are sure the phone doesn't need to operate. Take for example is you have Yahoo! Finance. You phone doesn't need that, and I am guessing you have a preferred app for financial news anyway. Tap on Yahoo. You will see the app information screen. There will be two buttons at the top Force close and Uninstall Updates or Disable. If the app has been updated, you need to tap that first, then Disbale will appear in it's place. Tap disable. The app is still on your phone, but will no longer be taking up precious memory that you can use for something else.

I'm having similar problems like I'm on the default browser then press the home button and it freezes for a few seconds and only shows the apps icon at the bottom then comes back to normal

it's my app that never lagged before, I did a factory reset and I used 2.5gb of storage and it still lags. i might have a virus or something idk.

Try a different launcher, like Nova or ADW. TouchWiz can be a resource hog.
