Help - phone freezing/locking on Google Play

My nexus 4 keeps flashing up with google play has stopped then my phone freezes then turns off it won't let me do anything on my phone please help as i don't want to have to replace my phone

I am not sure how on your device, but you can try to clear the cache in recovery mode.
