Hello everyone. I hope I am posting this in the right area. I am partially responsible for the technology and IT department for my employer (a local bank). We have an application that is widely used by our customers. My boss has a child with an S8Active and they are unable to download the app from the app store because it is not compatible with the phone. The app developer is trying to tell me that the phone is classified as a tablet instead of a phone with google. She believes that the screen-size is the issue (I do not believe this as I have a Note 8 and it works just fine on mine). None the less, what are my options here? I dont want this to be an issue for any other person.

If the developer won't change the designation (in the app), there's not much you can do but have the child change phones, use a different app or, if you're capable of it, writing an app that does the same thing, but can run on an S8 Active.

A tablet Sim is configured differently by the carrier than a phone Sim.
My S8 Active has a tmobile phone sim.
My 4g LTE tablet has a tmobile tablet sim.
What do you have installed?

So what you are telling me is that there is a chance that the sim(card) could be incorrect for the type of device. So that would me more of a carrier issue than a bank issue. I can contact him to find out, but who knows.

I would verify the device and the sim by contacting the carrier : dial 611
