Ok, I'm new to this so take it easy on the new guy:cool: I decided to root my Thunderbolt last night using the abd method and everything went great, so I decided to download rom manager and download a rom called Liquid Gingersense v1.2, AWESOME rom except I don't get any signal for the mobile network. Anyone on here know of a fix for this ? I would appreciate it !

you need to flash a gb sense compatible rom - mr 2 or mr 2.5. just as speedjunkie said.
and read alot.

OK. Thanks decided to try the new BAMF instead and heres where I'm stuck I put the radio on the root of the sd card and when I go to the HBOOT this is the message I recieve, Main Version is older ! Update Fail ! Press <POWER> to reboot and I cant get back to the main screen any ideas ?

I think what is happening is you downloaded a radio that is a downgrade from what you are running, so it won't do that in hboot.

I would download the mr2 or mr2.5 radio again, if you are installing with a gingerbread sense bamf 2.x series rom, and check the radio md5 against what's listed in the xda thread for whichever radio you choose.

if the character string matches the radio is good.

then you can place that MR radio on your sd card root, rename PG05IMG.zip, and flash the radio in hboot.

are you using a pc? make sure the file name is not PG05IMG.zip.zip - pcs can have hidden file extensions. check the file on your phone with a file manager (bamf comes with one).

yea I am and all I did was take that file place it on the root of the sd card and copied and pasted what you just mentioned...

while on your phone, with a file manager go to your sd card and make sure the file is correctly named.

cant get to it  there is something on my sd card that says radio created June 3rd should that be deleted as well?

if its called radio it shouldnt be brought up in hboot to be installed.

you could move it onto your cpu or into a folder just in case but i dont think that's the issue.
