help! random songs now twice...wtf?!

My X has now played a random song out of the middle of nowhere twice. The first time it happened I just attributed to just some weird random occurence. But as I was driving today, the phone was not in use (sleeping in a cup holder) and all of a sudden again a random song from my music collection starts playing. I try most of the buttons, nothing happens...I go to my music player (stock) widget and it shows "No songs selected"....So I click it and select a song, thinking maybe this will stop the random song....but it plays it right on top of the rogue song...so I have no idea what is even causing this or what app is playing the music. It was not triggered as an alert of any type, and it's now happened twice. I'm now actually worried about taking the phone into meetings at work for fear that music's going to come blaring out at some inappropriate moment....

Has anyone else noticed this or heard of this happening? Or have any clue what might be causing it?

Is there a play icon in the notification panel when this occurs? If not, then it's something besides the built in media player doing this. In my experience, weird problems like the one you described, are usually related to 3rd party apps. Usually the root cause is a task manager, but if your only 3rd party app is Launcher Pro, you might try uninstalling that and see if the problem goes away.
