Help! Seeing files in Root Explorer but not when connected

I've got a few hundred songs that I can see in Root Explorer, and play just fine with the stock music app on my HTC EVO (it is not rooted).

I'm trying to backup all these songs to my computer, and it's only seeing some of them when connected. I've ensured that nothing is hidden.

Any ideas? Could it be the failure of the micro SD card?

It could be that the songs are in a different folder. Choose a song that isn't visible on the computer and find out where its at

I found the song using root explorer. But if I plug it into my computer, it's not there. I've also used Windows to search for all music files on the SD card, and it's coming up with far fewer than it should.
