I just saw the demo for the nexus at the local store. They let me do side my side with the razor. What was very surprising was that the razor had a much more vibrant screen and did not seem as pixalated, we ran netflix on both side by side and the razor was much sharper and more vibrant. Also, even with the buttons at the bottom minimized for the movie on the nexus, the nexus still had the same sized usable screen as the razor. When the bottom bar minimizes, it only disappears half way. I thought the nexus was supposed to have a much better screen.
Here is another comparison of screens, this one including the RAZR.
Here's the deal: there is a demo unit gnex displayed at my vzw store right now that I have played with more than once. It is displayed right next to the rezound. The nexus screen is jaw dropping! The rezound's screen is NOT. It's a nice screen, best one on any htc device yet, but it is nowhere close to the gnex screen. And the razr screen is lesser than both. I have looked at them all side by side by side. Even the vzw store associates who were there with me while I was watching an HD you tube clip said that the gnex screen is the best screen they have seen. There is no question, the nexus screen is absolutely superior. Bottom line, samsung has been a step or two ahead in screen tech for a couple of years now. Why is this surprising?
Meh

Can you explain. I've posted in multiple threads where people have said this, asking for how it's better than the Rezound screen. No one has given details. Is it sharper? Does text look better? Do photos look better? Obviously we know its brighter and the the white and black colors are better. But what really makes the Nexus screen so much better than the Rezound? Because I love the Rezound screen and I've been wanting to see a Nexus but no stores around here are letting me see the live Nexus'. My bro-law has a Nexus but I'm not driving two and a half hours to look at it.

The Razr probably did look better and so will the Rezound. The Gnex is a fake 720p because of pentile. It is probably closer to a 480. Plus the Gnex GPU is a few years old. Why Samsung chose the last gen hardware for this phone I will never know? At least the Verizon missed deadlines gave me a chance to do some more research and I will be holding off until Q1/Q2. I prefer to get in on the beginning of the next gen cpu/gpus and not on the tail end of last gen. The Gnex is a good phone, just not great. If I was more desperate for a phone it would probably still be my first choice over the Razr and Rezound...mainly because of ICS now and I like the design better.
