Good Sunday to all of you!
I am going camping this week (Orionid shower on Tuesday!) and have always wanted to be able to take long exposure night photos.
I know the previous Pixel was able to do it within it's own software system.

Can the Note 20 do this as well?
Is there an app to help things along?
Have you done it before, any suggestions?

The native Note 20 Samsung Camera App has both "Night" mode and "Hyperlapse" Mode - I haven't tried "Hyperlapse" at night so not sure if it will pick up the darkness... though this camera's detector is excellent in low light! "Night Mode" literally makes it look like daytime so it may be too much - in either case, when you open the camera app, at the bottom of the screen, just press "More" and it will take you to the menu with these other choices! Experiment and have fun!!!

Yes you can. But it's paramount to have a tripod. As with night time photography one has to leave the lens open for several seconds. And there's no way to hold the phone still when doing so.

You'll have to put the camera in manual mode. Dial the ISO up to at least 1600. The f-stop has wide open as it can go. And then just practice with your lens speed.

Thank you sir!

Great question and great answer... thank you both!
Query: If I've set the widest and largest (f-stop & ISO) could you be more specific about "lens speed" please?
Is this like "pressing & holding the shutter button"?
If so I used to like shutter cables....
Wait! Could the spen (Note 10+ user) be used for that?
Thanks! ✌

Shutter speed is like 1 click and the camera is gonna be taking in data for like 30 seconds or minutes or hours.
