oK...

So here I am stuck @ the BootLoader screen.

What I was originally trying to do was this....Backup the current Rom, in Rom Manager. I had a perfectly fine rooted stock 2.2 updated phone. All I wanted to do was install a new ROM. Fresh to be exact..
So, in Rom manager, the first option allowed me to flash a recovery to 2.5.0.1...

Then I attempted to name a backup, which after I pressed OK, it sent me to the hated white EVO screen.
But it allowed me to reboot the phone.

Some other help suggested that I didn't have the eng file. The PC361.zip I installed that on the phone and this is where it all went downhill..

I am stuck2 a boot loader screen. I got to the recovery finally and wiped all data (backed up)
So, I can't mount my card to my PC because I'm using Vista, which I think is junk anyway...lol But I need some help here.
I need to either get back to the rooted stock or the fresh roms that I have loaded on my sd card.

Is there a way that we can accomplish this, where command line prompts will work in Vista?

I guess I'm confused. If you can get into recovery you should be able to flash a ROM. If the ROM isn't on your SD card yet then take the card out of the phone and use an adaptor to plug it into your PC.

When you go to make a backup it will take you to the white EVO screen first and then into recovery. That's normal.

Why can't you just go into Nandroid and restore from your backup? Then try it all over again?

Will he be able to adb push if his phone won't boot? Not too familiar with the ins and outs of how adb works (I've only had to do it a few times, and my phone was working perfectly when I did).

Thanks guys....

I went the long way around and gave up on ROM'ng. LOL. I downloaded and installed the Stock 3.26 RUU from my desktop and re-rooted. Am back to where I left off after Titanium and Sprite restored everything I backed up.

You don't have to do it that way really, in your recovery you can choose to mount your SD card then just copy the ROM to the sd card and install it through recovery. This way you don't have to use adb and you have easy drag and drop file access to the sd card.

The reason why you got stuck in the bootloader is cus switched you hboot. You probablyvstarted with .93 and to flash an aosp rom like fresh. Or cm6 you need to be at the Eng. 76 bootloader but when you flash the new bootloader it makes any of your. Nand backups not work with your phone. There is a thread at xda explaining how to getvout of the bootloader from there.

Stuck!!!

The reason everyone is getting stuck is because when your are flashing new roms you have to do a full wipe .. I know most of you are .. the problem is in the software you are using Clockwork is not wiping the Dalvik Cache and when you flash you new rom from Rom Manager it may get stuck in bootloader loop.

Try Amon Recovery ..

To Get UN-Stuck:

The easiest way is to flash a new kernal or re-flash your kernal ..

If for some reason you don't have a kernal you will need PC36IMG.ZIP from 2 Part 2 NAND UNLOCK Root Guide .. it will put you to a stock rom but at least you can start over ..
