help unrooting PC36IMG.zip

Thanks Keith. I will give it a shot. I tried one from Flipz site and it kept giving me a battery error. I had a full battery and it kept telling me I had to have it at least at 30% so hopefully this other one runs better.

Still doing it. I donwloaded it. restarted the computer and the phone. Ran the RUU and it still gave the battery error. Can Sprint even tell if the phone is rooted? I didn't install a recovery on it. I just did the PC36IMG.zip and stopped there.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you taking it back? You do know that if you only do the toast root and do not flash a ROM afterwards there are documented bugs you'll experience right?

For some reason when I put my phone down and try to drag the notification bar down it doesn't respond. As long as the phone is being held in my hand it works fine, but when I put it down it stops responding. The rest of the screen works fine but not that darn notification bar. It was happening before the root. I'm not too lazy to where I can't hold it I just don't want ti to get worse. The other problem is the screen at the bottom is raised a little so there is a light leakage right below the home and search button. If I push the screen down the light leakage goes away. So it seems that it just isn't on their tight enough. This is also one of those things where it doesn't bother too much but would hate for it to get worse. Then my 30 days pass and when I exchange I'm looking at a refurb. I'm still debating though cause with the one I have I get great battery life and haven't had random restarts or anything else crazy happening to it so would hate to get one with dead pixels or worse defects.
BTW, tried a different computer and was able to run the ruu and get me back to stock.

not responding issues happened to me when i put my phone on my card dock vertically, but not just put down on the table or so. guess it's kinda like the Incredible scenario again.

I also need to unroot my phone. I can't change an individuals ring tone (to customize a specific ring tone)

I used unrevoked is the same method used to un root?

unrevoked is only temporary. All you have to do is reboot the phone and its no longer rooted. You can remove unrevoked apk under manage applications.

Reboot as in restarting the phone? I've done that and I'm still able to use the wireless tethering

Yes reboot the phone. You have it set to run at startup, and if you click the super user icon you'll see that you're still granting WiFi tether full root always. Just deny it and remove unrevoked from the manage applications menu.
