I've been trying to unroot my evo for awhile now but nothing works
RUU keeps giving me an unknown error(Get the correct update utility and try again)
I've tried clicking on past links but some of them wont come up.
What is the easiest or newest way to unroot??
What files do I need??

And I don't plan on rooting it anymore.

You can't unroot, all you can do is flash an unrooted ROM. (Make sure you back up everything first - see Backing up an Android Device - because you're going to end up with a new, out-of-the-box phone, no pictures, no music, no downloaded apps, not texts, nothing that's not on Google's servers.) Evidently whatever rooting method you used did more than copy su, it left "footprints" that unrooting (deleting su) didn't remove.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not using the phone so I really don't need anything on the phone. Ok where can I find an unrooted ROM? Will that give me all of the original menu settings? I'm trying to get it flashed to boost to use.
