I would check: Settings > Language & Input > Under "Keyboard and Input Methods" click on the Google Keyboard > Preferences > make sure the Voice input key is turned on. The microphone icon should pop up right where it should be, next to the predictive texts above your keyboard!
I have one on mine its on the top right next to the suggested words that appear as you type. It must have something to do with suggested words maybe check the settings there/turn out on?
It says it right there. Check language and input settings. You have to enable voice typng in the language and input settings. Language and input then select the box for google voice typing and the voice input option will become available. This is going by kit Kat but I'm sure its close enough.
Thank you all, I just downloaded Swiftkey, the microphone is back! The different color themes are awesome! The option for Text to Speech output is just not available for the Google keyboard on my phone for some reason.
