Help with a Samsung Galaxy Centura

Greetings and salutations.
I have had my phone for a little while and when I first plugged in my phone into my laptop it told me that I can use the mouse and keyboard of my Samsung ATIV book 2 laptop for my Samsung Galaxy Centura Cellphone. I wish to do that my OS for my laptop is windows 8. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated.

Sincerely,
GodRosen

Welcome to Android Central! I already communicated with you via PM, but will also reply here, for the benefit of others who may also have the same question. You generally cannot use a standard wireless keyboard/mouse on your phone. These kinds of wireless input devices communicate via a USB dongle inserted into your computer's USB port, and use the 2.4 GHz band. If you want to use a wireless keyboard/mouse on your phone, it has to be Bluetooth.

I am having this same problem but i have had my phone for about 6 months. I can't play music, put my phone on speaker, it won't ring, and I can't access any of the sound features. I have tried turning it all the way up, and down to 50%. I have switched from vibrate to sound. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. I have checked all sound settings and none of them are on mute. I don't know what to do. This is the 3rd time i have had trouble with this phone and had to send it back, the last one didn't even last a day. Its rediculous that I have to keep putting minutes on this phone and not be able to really use it. The last one i sent back to the company to fix it took almost a month for me to get the replacement and I have had problems with it from day one. Is there something I can do to fix my sound problem or do I have to send it back yet again and be out yet another months minutes and money.

I need some help. My phone started acting up last night. Every few seconds telling me something or other was no longer working and was shutting down. This morning I called Tec Support and they had me manually reset my phone to factory settings. After I can't seem to get any survice but internet to my phone. I called tech support back and they had me dial a number and it was suppose to activate my phone. This worked for a few minutes as I was able to call a friend, but the call was dropped. I called him back and it dropped him again and now I can't get any service again. I tried the manual reset again and nothing is working. Any help would be great. No I have not dropped the phone recently or gotten it wet. Please please please help!

That depends on the carrier. With some you can get the phone replaced while you wait. With others, unless you get a sympathetic manager (since this is the 3rd time you've had the same problem) who;s willing to bend the rules, the phone has to go back to be "certified" not working before it can be replaced. (It's one reason I pay more to be on AT&T - they apologized when they couldn't fix my phone and had to replace it - which they did on the spot [if they have don't one there you can drive to another center that has one, or they'll have one mailed to you].)

I have the same phone and my is doing the same thing and I can't get it to work once in a great while I can hear a little bell and it's faint and other times I can't hear nothing I think its just a defect in the phone, wal-mart said that I could still take it back if you explain to them because there's many things that go wrong with these phones. Plus my charger is acting up... I don't have the receipt and they're still going to take it back.. Because they know about these phones. .GL :-)

Hi there, I just bought my Centura yesterday from Shopko, and I used the internet on it once. Now, every time I turn the phone on and, get to my password screen it vibrates again and gets stuck there. Sometimes I get past the password screen, but not much further. Then it says that Google Play services have stopped.

I had a Samsung galaxy proclaim which I had to return because it was defective straighttalk sent me a samsung galaxy centura in return.this is got to be the worst phone I have ever had it keeps freezing and switching times.they said they will send me another phone but it has to be another galaxy centura because it is the only one in the stock has anyone else had this problem

I've had my Samsung Galaxy Centura for over a year now and haven't had many problems with it the lag issue I've had but I didn't think nothing of it. I've got a whole new problem now. when I reboot my phone it goes to the Android is upgrading screen and freezes. I've taken the battery out numerous times to clear the problem and it doesn't work. I even did a hard reboot and wiped everything outta my phone and when I reboot it still does it. I need help. I don't have the money to buy a new phone. Please help me!

hold down the power button, as long as you'd like, and it will reset about every ten seconds or so. you will know it is rebooting because it will vibrate each time that is does. :) hold down power and volume ^up buttons at the same time, then let go of power and continue to hold volume ^button until another screen appears if that doesn't work. You will come to "Android System Recovery" where you will select "wipe data/factory reset" by using the volume v down button to get to the option. Good luck.

factory reset before OS is running. press the power button and hold until the phone vibrates 3 times (25-35 seconds), then hold the Volume ^up botton with the power button at the same time for one last vibration.. Let go of the power button but continue to hold the Volume^ button. You'll come to "System Recovery Options", where you will select Factory Reset option.. :)

When I search for "Kies Air," I find a lot of games and apps, but nothing actually called "Kies Air."

My problem is that when I first hooked up the phone to my laptop, the computer found the phone with no problems.
I loaded a number of music files and videos. NOW it won't see the phone when I plug it in. The phone charges OK, but can't be accessed.

Any help?
