Help with accelerometer/g-sensor?

When I go to landscape mode in a picture or browser, it goes slowly but it works. However, when I try and go back into portrait mode, nothing happens. It is stuck in landscape.

I calibrated it on a flat surface and have checked automatic orientation.

Any help? Thanks

My brother has the same issue w/ his. Orientation switches fine in other apps, but not in the browser.
