Alright guys, I've got a problem. I have the ATT S3 running 4.1.1 and a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.8. Now, a few months ago, specifically right before I upgraded to 4.0.4, Android File Transfer worked without a problem. However, right after the update, the service stopped working, giving me the message that my laptop cannot connect to the device. Even when I reconnect and restart, I can't get AFT to work properly. I don't think it's an issue with the laptop OS, as AFT works fine with my Nexus 7, so I'm not quite sure what is wrong. Any advice?

Not sure if it's an Apple thing, a Samsung thing, or a Google thing...or a combination. But you're right, AFT no longer works. For me, it stopped working after I upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion.

I currently use two methods for transferring files:
  1. WiFi File Explorer Pro: Allows you to connect over a wifi network and transfer files back and forth via web browser
  2. Launch Windows 7 in Parallels: Plug in the phone and it connects with no hassle

Neither option is free (if you don't already have Parallels & Windows, then that option is probably prohibitively expensive just to transfer files to/from a phone), but both get the job done with no hassle.
