As for kernels, you can try the battery-saver variety of imoseyon's, or really any froyo-sense kernels. Some might work well with your phone, others might drain battery at a similar rate to what you have now (i assume it's the bamf 447 kernel that you are using). Additionally, you can change your min/max frequency settings in the bamf toolkit to try to save on battery.
Kernels are flashed in clockwork mod recovery after you clear cache partition and dalvik cache, but do not wipe data for kernels.
So let me clarify:
1). I have BAMF 1.6.3 ROM with kernel 2.6.32.21_bamf_4.4.7 - I can install any kernels to this ROM, even non-BAMF kernel. Is this correct?
2). Assuming #1 is true, that means I can flash a new kernel without causing data loss and I don't have to re-install / restore all apps and data.. I.e. If I install new ROM, I had to "wipe data", but with kernel I don't.
3). When you said "Kernels are flash in [CWM]...", do you mean selecting the "Install zip from SD card" in CWM, same like when installing ROM?
4). Where do you get the kernel-only files? I see ROMs and ROMS...
