My IPhone 6 which Ivehad since launch day broke recently and I've decided to get a new phone. Apple is no longer an option for me because it's boring at the moment.

My choices have come down to the Oneplus5, Galaxy S8 and the htc U11. My primary factor determining my choice is the audio quality, because I absolutely love my music. Namely the headphone experience.

The u11 would be a no brainier but it is extremely fragile and susceptible to bending. I've read about users phones bending without even being dropped.

The S8 is also extremely fragile and I've read that Samsung phones slow down very quickly. I've never used a Samsung before so I'm unsure of what to make of this. Audio quality I've heard is pretty good, but not on the lines of the u11.

Finally, the oneplus5 is almost perfect but the audio is apparently sub par when compared to my other choices, so that almost rules it out.

Therefore, some opinions would be nice to have :). I really want the u11, but the fragility is a real concern for me, even with a case.

Thanks in advance

If you're using headphones I don't see why the phone would make any difference in the experience. Now, if you're using the phone speakers, my S8 is not nearly as good as my HTC One M9. The Dual speakers were very nice.

As far as bending I'm not sure how easily it would break. I watched a YouTube video and I could see the guy was actually trying to break the phone before it did.

I've had my S8 for 2 months and haven't noticed it slowing down. If you're worried about fragile why not put an Otterbox case on it? The only complaint I have about the phone is the fingerprint scanner is on the back.

If this doesn't really help you, hopefully someone else can.

No comment on HTC as they aren't widely available where I am.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus5 is the best one there is, even if the rest of the phone can be said to be inferior to the s8 (inferior screen, no wireless charging IIRC, camera good but not S8 good, etc). But it's gonna blow by the S8 in terms of processing speed.

I've never experienced Samsung phones actually slowing down, except for the S3, but that was a bit underspecced in terms of RAM. Once it got an update it needed more RAM than it had so it slowed down. But the rest of the phones Samsung released, I never had that trouble. My Note 2 was fine for 3 years. However this is with the caveat that I ak using Exynos versions which are better optimized for Samsung.

If I Were You.I Would Go With The S8.Whoever Told You about it Is Fully Wrong. The Fact Is That you Get Fast At Using a Mobile And "We" Think The Phone Is Getting Fast.
The S8 would Give You Great Listening Experience With a Load Of Functionality and It Can give You a Decent Battery Timing. You can Root it and Use Viper4Xandroid as A Music Maintainer(Greatest Working app Ever).
The Other Phones are Great Except For The One Plus Due To being More of a Beefy Device and Lacking Audio Experience. But It is a Very great Device if you want Power More than Battery and Sound.
The HTC is ****.I again Say ****.It will Get boring The Day You have It.
For Good Listening Experience I recommend Using .Flac Format While Downloading Song.
Remember it has A .flac at ending and Will have a Size of about 50mb or So.Listening To that Format on an S8 Feels Unexplainable.

If your using itunes be aware on doesnt work on most android, why not get a decent phone and an iphone trainer the ipod they just dropped the price on the 128 gb by $100 ,And it does everything but make phone calls , I use a cheap phone an expensive tablet and iPod touch to feed my music habit , I only need to install 1/4 of my collection because so much stuff is available in iTunes that it works pretty good I used to carry a phone and multiple 180gb Zunes to carry my collection.
Food for thought ?
