i have two big problems with my phone. first of all i'm in Ghana and own a Motorola Droid Ultra(XT1080) which i bought an already used from the web(6/28/2016).
Problem #1: no special codes work. i mean codes such as *#06# *#*#4636#*#* etc do not give feedback and i do not know why.
Problem #2: The network was working well until i want to test the 4G LTE part so i installed 4G Switcher from Play Store and did something that i regret. As being a curious person, i wanted to see what that app could do. so i entered the option part->Select radio band, there i saw <Set GSM/UTMS band>(USA Band and Cellular) and i selected "USA Band". After that the network cut off and till today(7/7/2016) i still get no network even any other network. i found some solutions online but it's bit complicated to me and not for my phone type(Droid Ultra).

So can youn please help me with simple step by step guide. i'm pretty sure that some people still having yet solved that problem.

(The Ultra and the Maxx were the same phone, except for the size of the battery and the wireless charging in the Maxx. Otherwise, exactly the same. )

The House Of Moto worked for somebody with your exact problem. It's not the easiest thing you will do, but search for "House of Moto", read the instructions carefully, and hopefully it will fix your phone.

I know of no special dial codes that work with the Ultra.

I suggest if you get it fixed that you don't mess around with the radio settings again...

Firmware for the Ultra is here: https://firmware.center:8081/firmware/Motorola/Droid Ultra (XT1080)/Stock/

I think you want the one with SU6-7.3 in the name.

Actually, one thing you may want to try first is the Verizon Software Repair utility. It will be a lot easier than House of Moto, but I'm not sure if it actually will fix this issue, and I'm not sure if it works outside the US, but surely worth a try. Make sure you use a USB 2 port rather than a USB 3 port when you attach the phone to the computer if you have a Windows computer. (Yes, you'll need a PC, Windows or Mac, to fix this problem.)

See Repair Assistant - Software Upgrade Assistant (Motorola) | Verizon Wireless

Thanks Doogald. Sorry for the late, I was out of the city. I tried the Verizon software but it was not detecting my device. I also checked on House of Moto latest version and it looks good. The fact is that with the slow networking we have in this country I am unable to download the firmware which is about 700mb, so I think I would just give it to a repairer to flash it for me.
Thanks for the help though.
