help with equalizer for music app in ICS

there is an built in app called "MUSIC" in ICS 4.0.4 which im using currently, -problem with this app->the equalizer doesnt work at times, it says on but there is no difference in sound does anyone else has this problem?
(i also have 1 more app "play music" which is from google play as it says there..)
really need some help with this please

Install PlayerPro for music. it is so far the best app I have had for music. Amazing predefined equalizer patterns and loads of customization.

Just installed it.. its awesome ..thanks
-> i think there is a bug in the play music app which conflicts with the equalizer with the other app.. not sure though..
