help with hotmail

hello newbie here. i have recently purchased a samsung captivate. love the phone but hate the email option
i have used hotmail for years so i realy want to keep it, but when i check my email on my phone none of the pictures or attatchments open. i was told when i went to a "SMART" phone my emails would look like they do on my computer. grrr . any way can some one help. sorry if this question was posted and i missed it.thanks for the help~~~CRASH

It's not entirely true that emails will be the same as on a desktop, but you should be able to launch most attachments (MS Office and images) for viewing (editing only if you have the correct software.

I would do yourself a favor though and forward your Hotmail account to your Google account's Gmail. You can do this in Mail settings in Gmail on your desktop. It's POP3 just like if your using Outlook. Android is really designed to work with Google's Apps and you will always get the best experience with them. You can then use either email address (Gmail or Hotmail) and both will be sent to the same inbox.
