Help with installing ClockworkMod Recovery

Forgive me, this is probably a noob problem. I'm using a mac, trying to install Cyanogenmod 7. I'm at the part where I'm installing ClockworkMod Recovery using the guide here: Samsung Fascinate: Full Update Guide - CyanogenMod Wiki and it says:

"5.Untar jt1134's ClockworkMod Recovery into the Heimdall directory."

I can't seem to find the Heimdell directory. I installed the Heimdell program, right-clicked it and clicked "Show Package Contents", but I cannot seem to untar anything there. I have no clue how to do it.

Can someone please help me?

you have to extract the tar file.

I did this yet I am getting a "tar header contained invalid file size" when I try to open the package in Heimdall. What am I doing wrong?

i am trying to manage a firmware for a YP-GI1CW/TRA android v.2.3.6.gingerbread and samsung galaxy player 4.2.WIFI i anyone has idea i use a heimdall only v 1.3.2. works and what next , where firmware to and how , if anyone know ...thx
