Help with Odin3

Noob here who has screwed up his phone. Trying to use odin to flash to stock. I have tried every possible method to get into download mode posted here:

Now my problem is when I get into dl mode odin doesn't show the phone as plugged in. And for the life of me I cannot get the adb whatever to work. . .again I am a noob. I need noob directions and it would seem that there are none out there. I'm to the point right now that I want to drowned my phone and take it to best buy and use my black tie **** for a new phone.

Would really love some help here if anyone knows what I am doing wrong.

Master clear worked but thats all I can seem to get to work.

have you tried unplug it and reconect it while on download mode, i did and it worked for me...i had the same issue at first

HAHA. . . seems I needed to install the drivers provided in that forum. I thought I had already installed the drivers. Wow I feel stupid. . . .guess that comes with being a noob.
