Help with Setting Ringtones for Contacts

I'm using Launcher Pro Plus (not that it matters) I cannot set custom ringtones for any of my "google" contacts. Which is all my contacts except the standard BAL, MIN etc. from verizon which I can set customs for those only. What am I doing wrong? None of my other droids have done this....

Ok just saw the other thread. Also just figured it out. You have to create a "Phone contact" with the same name and number then link it to the original "Google contact". Now you can set a custom ringtone.
