Help - with the Facebook app

Has anyone had this happen, and if so how do I fix it? When I open my Facebook app on the Note 8 and go to my timeline it immediately closes and says "Facebook keeps stopping - Close app, Send feedback." (I sent feedback but not expecting any help from there).

When I go to the news feed/timeline - the part where I see my friend's posts - it works okay, it's only on my posts under my picture.

I tried clearing the cache on the phone, but it didn't help. And apparently you can't uninstall and reinstall the Facebook app on the Note (or am i missing how to do this?)

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you also try clearing the app cache/data from the Facebook app (in Settings>Apps​)? When you open Facebook again, you'll have to log back in.

B. Diddy thanks so much, that did it! I thought clearing the cache for the phone would do it for all the apps, but apparently not? Anyway all good now. Thanks again

Great! I think wiping the system cache partition doesn't affect individual app caches, but I'm not sure. In any case, it probably has more to do with clearing the app data, which wouldn't have been affected by wiping the cache partition.
