HELP!!!!

Please I need some help here!

After reading about the bricked GB phones....I downloaded a Froyo radio and went into hboot to flash it and now I'm stuck in hboot! The radio will not flash! and everytime i click on reboot or power down i get the HTC screen and it just sends me right back into hboot!


Also there is a "Security Warning" at the top of the screen in purple!

Did I brick the phone?

What radio did you try to flash? You needed to do a complete reversion which was to flash the MR1 ruu here: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! (md5sum : 7960c7977c25b2c8759605be264843ea)

I hope not man. Sadly, you are not the only one. There may be a downgrade brick chance...?! You best start reading and posting here...

Thanks, I'm downloading the file as we speak.

So I would rename this file to PG051MG.zip, put it on the root of my sd card and then flash it through hboot?

The zip will download as: PG05IMG_MR1_upgrade.zip Just delete the bolded part. There is no 1 in the filename, and make sure you verify the md5 before you flash

Make sure you remove the older zip from your sd card before you try again!

Thanks for the help guys...once the file finishes downloading I'll try flashing it.

One quick question though, how do I confirm the md5 before I flash?

If you're using windows use this: WinMD5 Free - Windows MD5 Utility Freeware Simple and easy to use

Or you can use hash droid from the market

Okay, I've tried flashing the PG05IMG_MR1_upgrade.zip with no luck.....it says checking PG05IMG.zip, then when the little gold bar to the left gets full, it reverts right back to the hboot screen.

Any thoughts?

Oh boy, well it looks like you lost root by whatever you tried to flash initially. Probably a signed ruu. The only thing I can think of is to follow this guide for non rooted users: [HOWTO] Restore to stock for root users and non-root users UPDATED 5/17/2011 - xda-developers to get back to stock. Hope this works
