HELPPPPP!!!! I cant get my phone to charge!!!!!

Okay so my husband and I bought a used droid razr maxx that had been rooted. Well my husband didnt know and he updated it and now I have a little green dead dude on my screen with and red triangle and exclamation mark inside. I have the right things to use to flash but I need help charging it. I can turn the phone off kind of and sometimes it tries to boot and I just get the motorola sign or i get that and then the green dude. I have tried everything in the bootmode and nothing works except flash mode and the battery is low. I need to charge it and i cant figure it out and I dont want to spend a bunch of money!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! I don't have a direct answer for you, but it may be important to specify exactly which model you have. You posted in the Razr Maxx HD forum, but the original Razr Maxx is not the same phone. This will be important if there's a way to re-flash the ROM.
