What the what? My Droid is giving me like 90 minutes of use. (oh, I just said that).

I have the screen on low, the GPS notifications off, the pinging apps for only when they are open.

The only thing I can think is, I am in a very marginal reception area. Can that create this kind of strain?

This is ridiculous, I have to move from charger to charger. Hep! Hep!

Well, it could be that. Settings / Battery Usage - what are the top things listed, what are the percentages? Tap the graph that shows up and take a screenshot and post that as well.

I downloaded SmartActions 2 and have it set on "Smart Screen Brightness" and it is barely legible.

It says 6hrs...pfftt...I'll be lucky to get an hour if I'm using it.

So what gives?

Blue icons on the status bar? Those icon on battery usage don't look right. SmartActions 2? Are you sure that this is a Droid Maxx, or is it a Droid Razr Maxx (which is a very different phone - the Droid Maxx was released in August 2013)?

There's that sharp downward spike there just before you plugged in. One idea is that the charge circuitry is mis-calibrated. Try this, when you have the time: run the phone down until it warns you that it will shut down, and then power the phone off. Plug it in overnight, or at least for six hours, and turn it on while still plugged in. Then, unplug it and then re-plug it in for another 30 to 45 minutes.

See if that helps.

Do you have a screenshot after tapping the graph on settings / battery usage?

Okay, my bad, it is a Droid Razr, no Maxx. 4.1.2

Wrong forum....but can you continue, or should I go there?

As to screenshot, that is what I did above...maybe you are looking for something from the MAXX?

I'll repost in Razr

If you tap the graph in settings / battery usage, it should open a new usage screen, called history detail, showing mobile network signal, gps, wifi, when the phone was awake, etc. I'm pretty sure that this was there on jellybean 4.1.2 - maybe I'm wrong about that...

Since you're talking about a razr maxx, it's also possible, since the phone is now about three years old, that the battery no longer holds a charge as long as it used to. Battery packs do start to degrade over time as they are used.

huh...is there a way to get this refreshed or something?

Here is another screenshot....this is more realistic...full charge, 56 mins!

See the grey scale that says " 56 min 4s on battery" Tap that and another screen comes up. Take a screen shot of that
