Here is why there is so much HTC hate.

I never said that what Samsung did was not dirty. I don't know why you feel the need to defend someone's statements, but you should calm down and have a nice cup of coffee. If I could, I would pass you a cookie and hope it makes you feel better.

Edit: and when did we start to believe that some lies are ok and some are not?

I feel like coffee usually does the opposite of calm people down.

Every one should know this is going on! I mean, what else could fuel people to rabidly support a cheaply built plastic phone, with a god awful pentile display, that costs more!

Remember what the doormouse said, feed your head!

FTFY ;)

I love when people mention pentile display like they can actually tell the difference.

Anyway, no propaganda will ever sway my opinion. My hate for HTC started with their crappy battery life that only got worse not better with each model. The nail in the coffin was when they switched to non removable batteries. If the battery can't be removed, it damn well better get razor maxx life or its useless. Having to use a brick extended battery for my rezound has me sworn off HTC. Counting down to the gs4 release.

The batter life for HTC models did not get worse with each new model. That's just flat out untrue. You don't need to make stuff up when you don't like a product, it's okay just to say "I like phones with removable batteries". As long as I'm able to get a days use out of the batter I'm fine. I do not need more than 1 days use with the battery because I charge it while I sleep.

I like the HTC One because it's a beautiful phone, I prefer sense to touchwiz, and I like that the sound quality is so much better. For what I use a phone for the One is perfect. I don't use a phone to get my internet, I don't need multiple days of battery life, and I want something that is beautiful and fun to use.

Really? Clearly Samsung has the worst phones ever and let's blame all of htc's woes on Samsung because htc did nothing to inflict this on themselves

When I buy a phone I buy the best phone out there and yes that's obviously a matter of opinion. I'm not going to worry about getting the phone that everyone has. I'm not going to worry about getting the phone no one has. I'm also not going to worry about the manufacturers marketing practices.

If it's not going to effect my experience with the phone then I'm fine. I'm not defending or condoning any bad practices. I think people like to make decisions or form opinions off of some really stupid things. If I go to the store and I see a complete moron buying the same phone I plan on getting that's ok. Or if I walk into a room and 1 or 100 people have the same phone... again don't care.

What are all the htc fanboys going to say when they see the idiots of the world trading in their old "popular" phones for htc ones? And you're no longer the only person you know with an htc... I'm sure all the reasons they have as to why Samsung is so horrible will be the same reasons why they claim htc is so great.

Well said. I've never understood people who refuse to get a phone, no matter how good it is, because a lot of people own that model. For me, it's not about being "unique" or "cool."' It's about getting the best tool for my needs.

I know my English isn't that great and I might have missed this, but Samsung is deemed "horrible" because of their business tactics or their products? Samsung and HTC are polar opposites when it comes to devices.

Edit (too long winded):
HTC Fanboys won't have much of anything to say, because that will never happen. I don't know when this behavior started, but nearly every HTC article/topic on this site alone is constantly polluted with talk of removable batteries, SD Cards, Vanilla Android, or on-screen buttons. Some even said HTC would be better off financially had they offered the mentioned functionality (and they were being serious). Any HTC article that mentions decreased profitability or patent suits, the people here rejoice and clamor to the "If they had included x..." they wouldn't get those results. Let's not forget that HTC was minding their own business, when a Samsung executive tweeted how the One would be a failure and 2013 will be just like 2012 for HTC. Samsung instigated that entire dialog. Then it comes down to HTC released too many devices last year, but Samsung released more. HTC puts a little effort in their designs and tries to make the devices have a more premium feel to them, they're trying to be like Apple or "You're going to put a case on it anyway". Samsung releases a device in various colors and they are giving people choices. Those pretty colors will be concealed by a case too right?

I stand by my belief that HTC is the most hated OEM and when they go out of business, the Android community will become civilized again. If I'm wrong, I have no problem being corrected.

I can tell the difference. Easily.

I don't think there are really a lot of HTC fanboys. What will people say? They won't say anything. You come across as a Samsung fanboy. You've already stated you're not going to get the One but you continue to post on the HTC forum that seems a little silly to me. No one claims Samsung is horrible because they sell a lot of phones. They don't. I don't like some of Samsung's business practices but that's not because of their products. I owned an S3 before I purchased the Nexus 4. I told my father to get the S3. I am getting the HTC One because I think for me it will be the best phone.

I'm not a fanboy because I don't make blind statements not based on any facts. I post a lot on htc forums because I carried an htc until fairly recently. And because I'm intrigued by the one, I think it's probably the most interesting phone at the moment and the forum is very lively. I was not happy with my experiences with htc and I've been pretty critical of them but if you read my posts on the one you'll see I've been pretty positive.

And there's plenty of htc fanboys running around talking about how Samsung is the root of all evil and plastic means cheap and only idiots get s3's.

I think eveyone just likes what they like. The people who like the S4 and Samsung phones have their reasons and the people who like the HTC One and HTC phone's have their's. Last year I had both the S3 and One X.

I initially liked the One X a lot more. I then got the S3 , it grew on me and, I sold the One X. I actaully liked the look and feel of the One X better but the S3 was so versatile and seemed easier to root. I like that I could add extra storage because 16GB was not enough for me. The S3 also looked and felt better than I thought and I didn't mind that it was made of plastic.

Now, I'm really sold on the HTC One, especially after I've played with it in the AT&T store. Like last year I like the HTC phone better initially but this time it's different. The HTC One is so much better than the One X, it's not even close. The whole experience is different and the closest thing I can compare it to is going from a Iphone 3gs to a Iphone 5 (except the software is drastically different also). The phone just looks and works very well. The availalbe storage is a big plus also.

Other than the improved hardware and slightly bigger screen the S4 doesn't seem that much different than the S3. To be fair, I haven't held or played with it for myself so I have no doubt it will be a nice phone also. I don't really care about all the extra features, the look and software experience with the phone are big with me. I never cared for toughwiz and by the looks of some of the vids I've watched, it looks no different than before.

Right now, I don't see how I will like the S4 better but, I may change my mind once I actually get to play with it.

So are you saying that HTC is scum because they try to lie by saying "ultra pixels let in 300% more light" when larger pixels don't let in any more light then smaller ones?

sent with my 2 year old HTC evo3d
No because ultra pixels or whatever they want to call them do let in more light. It's a fact.
