Here it is: Thoughts on switching to the Pixel 2 XL

Interesting I am actually torn btw keeping the s8 and getting the pixel. Personally I have had a very different experience with my s8. The phone is beautiful and I love the ergonomics but I have had several minor issues and annoyances with the s8. First and foremost is the finger print sensor. I have gotten used to the placement but compared to my other products it is simply not as accurate. There have been several times when it just does not even register at all. I end up having to reboot the phone for it to work again. I hate the fact that I cannot turn off the brightness and audio warnings permanently. I hate how the navigation bar is always white when the keyboard is up and I can't change it. The notification bar setting to hide certain icons that are always(eg. NFC) on was removed from dev settings. The stupid bixby vision thing that pops up every time the camera is freshly booted into annoys me to no end and really prevents me from using this awesome camera as much as I want to. Palm detection for me is kinda hit and miss. And that is not even going into Samsung specific apps.
I will reiterate that these are minor annoyances That I have.
Switching to a pixel would bring about it own slew of issues. It is less ergonomic, a lot more expensive and lacks features such as wireless charging and a headphone jack.

Looks more like a down grade to me. No wireless charge, headphones, smaller screen, bigger bezels. Nope.

Pixel has been crippled by the removal of the headphone jack. Absolutely no plans to buy into apples courage nonsense.

Apparently removing features is a thing now. Unlike Samsung where they throw in every features they can think of and see what sticks to the wall.
