At least it isn't a flip phone. The Pre is my last flip/slider phone ever. From now on, I'm a chocolate bar/tablet style person. With moving parts, its just something else to go wrong, unless you build a rediculously durable slider, like the LG phones (My chocolate had a nice slider on it).

Good point. Though, I am one of the minority that hasn't had any slider issues or significant "oreo" effects on mine. But enough of my friends have had these issues that I am on the same page with you...stick with the candy bar...when it comes to durability, simpler is usually better.

I had to have my pre fixed, again, and asked what the trade-in value would be. $75 was the reply. It will probably be $25 by the time the EVO comes out. All the sales people were pretty tight lipped about the phone but obviously drooled when talking about it..

Exactly. One other thing to add... they can ignore the simpler is better if they are talking about glass screens. I'd gladly pay the extra dough out of pocket for the glass over plastic.

Yep, I would too. And add some extra juice to the battery...15% over what they say is "adequate"...that extra hour will relieve a lot of headaches...and add little to the form factor. Ahhh, dreams...
