I need help I am looking for what is the best ROM out there for the HTC Hero with sprint. I tried a few different ones and I was not impressed any suggestions. Looking for it to be fast and stable.
Thats a loaded question ... Heres a few things to consider ...
1) You never stated which ROMs you've tried (include version and developer as many bugs get fixed with new versions)
2) When you said "Not impressed", care to elaborate? You could simply be looking for something this phone will never provide, hence, never be impressed.
3) The best ROM in the world can start to lag or become unstable depending on which apps you are using. Thats not the ROMS fault but likely the APPs fault. You may want to start basing your opinion on the ROM prior to loading up with APPs. Some apps may be necessary staples for you and thats fine, but RobobDefense, Better Keyboard ect ect are not "critical" apps. You get the idea.
4) If its performance your looking for, consider a ROM with JIT (This means no SENSE) or OC'ed ROMs with apps2sd. Something like DamageControl offers JIT, APPS2SD, and Dalvik to SD. It's up to you to read about these features and how to use them. All Dev's maintain a thread on a forum somewhere, read the thread completely, even if it means 200 pages, so you know what you're looking at.
