Wow, so underwhelmed. I watched both press conferences and it really was a microcosm of the phones. HTC presser was boring and bland. CEO not charismatic in the least. Presentation lacked the "it" factor. Sammy presser was impressive from all perspectives. The music, the lighting, CEO was more impressive and his speech about what they were focusing on was better in my opinion....he said what I wanted to hear. The sammy presser made me want to buy their phone, the HTC presser did not in the least.

I had to fight an overwhelming urge to turn off the HTC presentation, not inspiring in the least and their sales will bomb this year.

Camera not a factor for me.... I tested it for the last 3 weeks as a spare. It just fits what I am looking for right now. Just me.

I don't have any issues with the camera - I dig the active notifications too.

Same for my M7. I'm a minority that had hopes to see something along the line of an updated "max". Come June it'll probably be the nexus6.

Apple could not fit OIS in the iPhone 6, which also has big bezels, but without the benefit of decent speakers. I have both Apple and HTC phones, and as a professional studio engineer, I can't bear to listen to music on the iPhone.
And in regards to the camera itself, no one has used the M9 with the final software, so I'll wait and see. However, all the drama over the camera begs the question: if you live or die by the camera, why don't you do something radical and get a real one? My Nikon destroys any iPhone, Samsung, or HTC pics, and was actually cheaper than a 6 or 6 plus...

Wife has the iPhone, son has the M8 HK. IPhone audio reminds me of an early 60's 5 dollar transistor radio.

This is a tired excuse, man. They said that about the last two iterations of the phones, "just wait for the final software," and it never did anything. The camera takes decent, but not great pictures. That's it, it is near last for its competitors.

The HTC One M9 reveal was the biggest disappointment of the day.

I really like the aesthetic of the S6 and S6 Edge, but the QHD display and the 2600 mAh battery makes me uneasy.

I'm going to stick with the Turbo until I see what the G4 looks like.

and if they are letting people handle this without final software they should assume any poor picture processing will only make them look bad. I mean it's supposed to release "mid-march" which is roughly two weeks depending on how you define that....you would think it might be close to final. The fact that it is not good this close too release just doesn't instill confidence, especially based on their track record.

Take a good look at complaints about all HTC one versions before buying! We bought 3 HTC Ones a year ago, 2 have worked flawlessly. I am going on 5th replacement for mine! And HTC takes no responsibility for problems and.wants to charge me $ for.any type of resolution! So you can imagine I've spent way too much time with tech support and reading different forums. Problems: battery drains fast, will not charge, thinks it's charging when it's not and flipping to car mode randomly. If you take some time and peruse the forums you will see that these problems are persisting across different versions. HTC needs to address these issues before pushing out any new versions! I love my phone - When it works! Luckily I have learned enough to know it's the phone and not me! And I've learned enough tricks now that I can eventually get it back up and running but it is completely frustrating! HTC should be listening to consumers like myself and going out of their way to resolve issues. Verizon's support has been great - they may not know the answer but at.least they are standing beside their customer and doing their best to right the situation. HTC really needs to totally overhaul their customer service!

Hardly a fail. What the heck were you expecting?!

Sounds like you need to back up that phone and reset it to factory. I have some things that have happened like my 3G wouldn't work. It wasn't HTC's fault. Because I'm a huge cell phone nerd the problem started when I was roaming on Verizon's network from Sprint. And my phone would't do a profile update at that point either. Finally got it to work properly. The phone just got confused. Not the fault of HTC though.
