Current have the evo3d. Miss the nexus. I think the nexus is a better phone but the evo3d us a fun device
and just noticed you were referring to all my devices... that would be a very close tie for me.
It would be between the Atrix 4G and Nexus S 4G. I just love my Atrix and only reason I'm selling is because at work (Sprint), there is barely any AT&T service.
But my favorite device to be honest is my Samsung Focus (wp7) right now. Don't shoot me all! haaa.
idk man i think the evo 3D is betterSo I went to Sprint today because it is day 30 of my trial. I figured I would go see what the EVO 3D was about before making the decision to keep the Nexus S for good. Or maybe i would be compelled to swap! I had been hearing a lot of good things in the forums about the EVO 3D so I wanted to check it out for myself. I can say on the whole the E3D is awesome. I liked the build quality and the phone seemed to be snappy. I couldn't get into the screen. I still prefer the Super AMOLED. The phone itself seemed a little smaller than the original EVO. But it felt a lot better in the hand. I didn't like the 3D at all. But what made me walk away from the phone was the UI. Which is hard to believe because I am a Sense fan and have been ever since I had first gotten the Hero and then had gone to the original EVO. It seemed to be too much. The animations everything. It seemed to be too busy. I didn't like it. Maybe I didn't get it a fair shot by just playing around with it in the store for about 30 minutes off and on. But the UI, screen, and 3D was enough to turn me away. What did the rest of you think about E3D?
I played around with it for a bit, it's really quite fast. Felt faster than the Xoom, but it should be with such a smaller display area.
Don't fret if you're staying true to Google w/the NS4G, I'm sure the next Nexus will have some great combo of dual cores, qHD/SAMOLED+, instant updates, money printing, iDevice seek & destroy feature, native alchemy support through NFC, turn in to a tablet, 4D, upgradeable to 5D just as soon as humans can start seeing all aspects of the UV spectrum and/or dark matter, it will actually be the first device to sustain positive nuclear fusion with no waste so your battery will never drop below 99% - just don't drop your phone too close to any hydrogen or pure o2, we don't need any black holes calling earth home.

Yes, please let us know if the Evo 3d has any reception problems in comparison to the Nexus S.Just opened my EVO 3d box minutes ago. I have my Nexus S sitting right next to it and right off the bat I can see the Nexus S hides finger smudges (and fades them away somehow?) a hell of a lot better than the EVO 3d, this is really noticeable when the phone isn't on or if you have a dark background. I like the sleeker shape of the Nexus S more and also like how the Nexus S front is all screen and entirely goes dark when off while the EVO 3d has the bottom row of 4 buttons (home, settings, back , search) off the screen. I have never used any version of Sense before and right off the bat I've got to say I really like it, I think it will allow me to organize better.
The 3D camera/video camera is odd, you really have a small viewing angle and I did get dizzy from using it fairly quickly. Off the bat I don't see myself using it much but I think some cools apps could be developed which might make it a productive spec rather than just a gimmick
I've yet to activate the phone as when I do my Nexus S will be turned off. Hoping I get the same or better reception as the Nexus which has been crystal clear.
More thoughts later.
I returned my Evo 3D today. I ended up with the Nexus S. I want vanilla Android for a change, as I have never had a Nexus device. I am happy, as I just couldn't get used to the screen on the Evo 3DSo I went to Sprint today because it is day 30 of my trial. I have a hammer with that feature!iDevice seek & destroy feature
All I have to say is I bought the Evo 3D and it was on Ebay the next day. NS4G has just grown on me soooo much! I don't know why I even considered getting rid of it. I just hope the WIFI issues are taken care of soon with a update...
My thoughts on seeing the EVO3D. Full disclosure...My 30 days are up with my Nexus but my girlfriend still has her upgrade, and I was going to give her my Nexus and get the evo3d.
-I love the 3d effect. I only looked at the stock pictures because the stupid sales person ran the battery low and the 3d camera wont work with a low battery. The 3d is something that is really cool, it sets the phone apart from the crowd. Bragging rights. It didnt hurt my head at all.
-The build quality was amazing. The phone felt good. I will say that it was a lot heavier than the nexus. I actually prefer the lighter nexus and I think the build quality of my nexus has impressed me the longer I have had it. Although it is light, it doesnt damage easily and doesnt scratch.
-The Nexus screen is just nicer than the evo3d. The evo3d screen has a weird mirror coating on it. Almost a monochromatic effect, probably to make it 3d at times. It ruins the colors. Bottom line, Nexus screen is better.
-The reviews actually played a major part in my keeping the nexus phone over the evo3d. My worries about battery life were confirmed by every site. Battery life is in my top 5 in terms of importance. Maybe top 3. The Nexus is simply amazing at holding battery life. I know it does a lot with timing out the radios to save battery life, but I appreciate a battery last 15 hours with heavy usage.
-Sense looks cool but seems to be more eye-candy than useful. The carousel homepage was completely a gimick. In order to get the carousel effect, you had to spin the thing so fast that you couldn't see any of the homepages or stop on the one you want. I'm sure there are great things about it that you will only find out after using the phone for a while, but in my initial hands-on, I was not impressed.
Basically, I walked away thinking it was a really cool phone, but just not right for me. I'm sure it will do well, but I can tell you the phone I would have been all over. A revamped EVO with a few bumped specs....nicer screen, faster processor, better camera, etc. But skip the 3d and make the battery life ridiculously long. If they brought that to Sprint, I would be all over it. I love the big 4.3" display.
