Hello people, my name is Hugo, I'm a big android fan and have been using it for a while.
Last year I got my Note 4 and I just got a Note 5 and I decided to join the forum to learn and make my experience better on android, and maybe help others by sharing my experience while using it.:)

Welcome to Android Central!

Hi golfdriver97, I got it last friday.
Has been great, a bit smaller than the note 4, but I feel is a lot better to hold particular with one hand.
But you do need a case or skin, it's very slippery, mainly when your hands get a bit oily.

I upgraded mainly because I wanted a faster device, which would open and switch between apps faster. That has been great.
The other reason is that I wanted a device that was a bit smaller, and even consider the LG G4, but after I looked at this one, I felt in love with it.

Once I figure out the battery, which is good, but not as great as it was with Note 4. And have a case or maybe a skin, this is a nearly perfect device for me.

I got a few cases coming in, I may do a video to compare them, will see.

Take care.

Hi Gunny94, thanks!

I'm really happy with it.
The design other than been slippery and not very durable is great, much better to hold than note 4 was.
I will use a slim case or a skin.
I have 2 more coming in tomorrow.

The finger print scanner is awesome, very quick and reliable.
Phone is very snap, and this was one of the reasons I wanted a new one, and so far I can't complain.

The battery is something I feel the note 4 was a bit better, but I'm trying to optimize it by disabling some bloatware or functions I don't need. I'm gettering data and trying different things everyday. I will share that at some point.
I'm getting about 16hours with around 5 hours of screen on time. Not too bad.

Anyway, probably the best phone I ever had.

Have a good one.

Nice to hear!

Maybe putting a custom ROM with no bloatware and battery tweaks when available might help you ;)

I also use a slim case on Note 4, it's the best!

Hope to see you around!

Have a good one friend and thanks for the reply

Funny you say that, last 4 months I was watching XDA forum almost daily to see if they come out with a solution for Note 4 AT&T so I could install a custom rom, but it never happened. At least not a permanent one.

I was considering the one plus 2, but the last 2 months on my note 4 i had a good experience by just disabling some bloatware and using nova launcher. Battery was great and all though the phone wasn't snappy as note 5, it was descent.

When I saw the note 5 I felt in love with and couldn't resist and so I bought it.

And with the note 5 I really don't feel I need a custom rom, I really like it.

The biggest reason I was thinking about a custom rom is that I'm not a patient person so I want to put my finger in an app and have it open instantly and I have that with Note 5.
Sure there are features I would love to have from other custom rom, and things that I'd love to see samsung not do in the phone, but overall I am really happy with it.
It's with no doubt the best phone I ever had.

But, you never know what will come in the future.
I'm always looking out the new versions and we all know it takes too long for it to happen.
And that could be a reason I would be looking to install a custom rom, as far as it keeps the basic s pen functionality.

By the way I have 2 slim cases coming, will see how it will work.
It's either that or a skin.

Take care.
