Hi, I need some help

I've been running a rom I found here, I think it's FL14, not positive about that...but is there anything new I can flash to my phone? The notification light always stays on, some weird app is running (adware) that I don't know where came from. It leaves red star notifications in the upper left. Anyway my main issue is that I want to upgrade my rom. I have mobile odin, although I'm basically a n00b, I understand that it allows me to download the rom/kernel/modem to the phone and flash it right on the phone.


Oh and I can't plug my phone into my computer and view the files, any insight?

It says connected as USB device, but I can't view my files anywhere.

Ok, so I flashed Fl14 again with mobile odin. It wiped everything except my contacts and sd card (automatically redownloaded all my apps through my google account), I rooted through superuser (I think) and deleted all the google stuff I don't use with SManager, still trying to figure how to get rid of the icons...but I am no longer having the notification light or usb problem.
