hi, my htc one m8 has locked itself into a reboot mode reading

My wife's did the same thing yesterday and had some type of similar recovery mode. With hers I was able to use the volume keys for up and down and the power button as select. We moved it to reboot and then hit the power button. Do you have more on the screen besides that?
