My friend has an Android phone, I think it's called the Optimus, but there are so many different Optimus phones according to this site, but I'm getting the Xperia Play soon as my first Android after having an old Windows Phone, because I love the Playstation and I want to try something new! (And more customizable.)

I also want to know if you have to root your phone to get emulators? I really don't want to root my phone because I want to keep my warranty intact after getting the phone.

There are plenty of playstation games you can get exclusively for the play. Don't get me wrong, its a nice phone and if the price is up your alley and you don't need crazy mega high end go for it. But if you want to future proof yourself go for the DROID Razr, or Galaxy Nexus. Or even the Bionic
