Hide primary account from GMail app

I have 4 email accounts on my phone. 3 work and 1 personal (gmail.com). I manage the gmail.com account though Inbox. Is there a way to not have that account also show up in the gmail app? I don't need it there.

I am interested in this as well but for a different reason. I'd like to get an Android phone for one of my kids and set it up with my account as the primary so they have all the same Google Play apps from my account. But after I add my kids' gmail account in the settings, I see no way to hide my own. I know I can turn off the sync of the Gmail, but don't need my kid going through my emails.

OR...is there a way to set up an Android phone with my account just for apps but nothing else (like I can do on my iPhone)? Thanks!
