Hiding icons

Just press and hold until you get the garbage can icon and drag it to the trash. The apps will still be installed and accessible through the app list, just the icon will disappear.

I tried that but they reappear....the SW is probably preloaded by verizon. Example is I send Blockbuster to the garbage can and it's still there. WTF

The only way to get rid of the preinstalled apps is to root and move, rename, or freeze them.

If you install a 3rd party launcher you can hide them from your app drawer.
The apps don't take up much space, other than need for speed.

If you root, DO NOT REMOVE THE APPS. If you do you won't be able to get any OTA updates until you put them back.

What would you recommend for a 3rd party launcher?

Thanks!

launcherpro allows for you to hide selected apps from your app rolodex (3D launcher from the Nexus 1) in the preferences.
