Hiding navigation bar issue

I have my navigation bar hid and it hides fine, but when I swipe up to bring it up the screen is so sensitive that most of the time it brings up the keyboard first or activates the home button in the internet app. Is anyone else experiencing this?

With the s8 plus I never had this issue.

I have this issue when I'm texting. Brings up the keyboard while I'm trying to get the navigation bar up. I either lock the navigation bar before I start texting or use the arrow at top corner to go back to message list.

I find if I'm doing things fast I'll inadvertantly bring up the keyboard, but if I take half a second and slow down a bit I have no problem, especially when starting on the little black space at the bottom. You don't need to move your thumb up a whole lot to get the navigation bar.

No it's a thin line that separates bringing navigation bar up or keyboard. It wasn't this way on the s8 plus, I never had this issue. So far it's the only thing I don't like about the note 8.
