Hiding notifications when locked

I have setup fingerprint for security and I would like to know - is there a way to hide notifications from the lock screen and to disable the notification tray access from the lock screen when the device is locked (while allowing everything when it's unlocked)? Even when my device gets locked everything is still accessible from the lock screen.
Note: I don't want to disable the notifications altogether from the Sounds and notifications->notifications on lock screen menu.

You need to set that option to "Do Not Show Content" in sounds and notification > notifications on lock screen.

That will keep notification from popping up and being visible from the lock screen. This does not turn off notifications when the device is unlocked.

I have just tried it on my S6 and it does hide everything from the lock screen even when the phone is unlocked.

I have the same problem, no point of taking my phone locked if everyone can look my messages preview <.<
