Hisuite disconnects while doing backup. What to do?

I have a Huawei p9 and I'm trying to do a backup using Hisuite but while its doing the backup it disconnects the phone. This makes it impossible to finish the backup. How do I solve this problem? It's been like this for a year now and I really need to update the phone, but I'm scared to do that without any backup. I have uninstalled the program and installed it again, but it doesn't work. Please help me, I'm going nuts over here

Have you tried contacting Huawei?
